Análise da percepção das responsabilidades dos gestores da Petrobras

This research was conducted at Petrobras, in a period of change for the entire country. The aim is to reduce waste and/or risks caused by employees who do not have adequate performance. This article is part of the author's thesis (MONTI, 2015) proposes a methodology that can be useful for any organization understand how their employees realize the importance and the performance of their responsibilities. This self-perceptionsurvey may already sign improvement opportunities (aim of this article). The company may, at the appropriate time, confront the managers´ perception with other groups´perception. Supervisors, senior managers, workforce may be new perspectives for improvement (suggestions for future research). The group studied in Petrobras were managers, key players in the success of any company. A list of responsibilities was created for the managers based on a literature review. This list was used as a guide to analyze the managers´ perception about their performance and importance. Those responsibilities perceived as highly important, and also perceived as underperforming would be the focus of this work. This would be the set of responsibilities to future improvement. The study was conducted with a random sample of 109 managers at Petrobras. This methodology can beused by other employee profiles and at strategic, tactical or operational areas.
