This study analyzes the process of implementing improvements to Petrobras's tutoring practice and investigates the perceptions of the employees involved in this initiative. Tutoring is understood as a strategic Knowledge Management tool within complex, high-risk contexts such as the oil and gas sector contributing to knowledge transfer, the preservation of organizational memory, and the development of professional competencies. Methodologically, the research is characterized as a descriptive and interpretive case study employing a predominantly qualitative approach. Data collection involved a satisfaction survey administered to users of the tutoring program and continuous monitoring of mandatory evaluations recorded in the Integrated Human Resources Solution (SIRH), encompassing over 2,700 participants. Results indicated largely positive perceptions regarding the restructuring of the tutoring process, highlighting ease of record-keeping, greater user autonomy, and improved information traceability. Opportunities for improvement regarding the system interface were also identified. The evaluation of mentor performance revealed high approval ratings across three essential dimensions: Knowledge (related to technical mastery and clarity in theoretical and practical guidance), Integration (referring to institutional onboarding and the assimilation of mentees into work routines), and Organizational Culture (linked to the mentor's role in disseminating corporate values and practices). The study concludes that tutoring contributes to professional development, organizational acculturation, and knowledge management, with its systematization serving as a key factor for the organization's governance, efficiency, and sustainability.
