This study proposes a theoretical model to integrate Knowledge Management (KM) into the employee career journey, articulating KM and Training & Development (T&D) practices throughout their professional trajectory within the organization. The model is based on the SECI Framework, the 70-20-10 development model, and the interconnected KM building blocks, providing a solid conceptual foundation. The methodology is qualitative and constructive, based on a conceptual analysis of key theoretical frameworks, the mapping of employee journey stages, and the identification of KM and T&D practices suitable for each phase. A model is proposed that organizes this journey into three macro phases: autonomy, maturity, and systematization/sharing linking specific KM strategies and training to each stage. The discussion indicates that integrating KM and T&D enhances the employee experience, fosters a collaborative and continuous learning environment, and strengthens knowledge sharing. A limitation identified is the need for the model's application and evaluation, with future research recommended in private and public organizations to assess the organizational impacts of the proposal. In conclusion, the model can contribute to the sustainable development of organizations by strengthening innovation, the preservation of critical knowledge, talent retention, and competitive advantage.
